The great, blue castle stove

“The great, blue castle stove”, as it was written in the old chronicles, a hall in the castle was called a glass hall.

During excavation works around the castle ruins which were conducted over forty years ago, numerous small pieces of beautiful white-and-blue tiles were taken out. Thanks to efforts made by Maria Dąbrowska of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw it was possible to recreate the original appearance of the stove from thousands of small pieces.
